Aluminium Gieterij ‘Oldenzaal’ (AGO) BV is an independent company and has specialised in the supply of machine-moulded, hand-moulded and chill casting since its founding in 1977. In 1990, a second location was put into service. Hand-moulding and chill casting was moved to this location and expanded.
In 1997, AGO founded a subsidiary called Aluthix. Aluthix specialises in the supply of high-pressure cast, squeeze cast and thixo cast products.
AGO now has 4 locations including a core package foundry, which makes us even better equipped to produce extremely complex batch castings under the highest quality requirements.
AGO’s target markets are:
mechanical engineering, foodstuffs, motors, energy, yacht building, defence, heating technology, medical world, furniture industry and model and mould construction.
One of our specialties of our hand-moulding foundry is the casting of mould parts for plastic vacuum forming and rotational moulding.
This is the location where AGO started its activities in 1977 with a hand-moulding foundry, machine-moulding foundry and a chill casting foundry. In the meantime, the hand-moulding foundry has been moved to our 45-47 location and we were the first Dutch foundry to purchase and install a fully automatic Seiatsu moulding line. Innovation and quality are the driving forces of our organisation, which focusses on you, our customer.
At this location, AGO has further expanded its hand-moulding activities with a new production hall with the latest, state-of-the-art machinery. This location not only houses our hand-moulding installations, but also our core package foundry. Here, we are able to produce extremely complex and accurate products for you, ranging from single pieces to batch production.
As a logical next step following the hand-moulding foundry and the machine-moulding foundry, AGO started its high-pressure foundry activities at this location. This made it possible to meet the wishes of our customers to also use our expertise in this field. This way, our customers have a reliable partner who has a wide range of possibilities to offer.
This is the location where all the castings from our foundries come for final finishing. In 2010, the first grinding robot was introduced to remove the casting system and the burrs from the castings in one processing operation. Now AGO has several grinding robots to finish its castings. After finishing, the castings are blasted and undergo a final quality inspection. After this inspection, the castings are packaged and shipped to our customers.
Our separate locations can all be found on the same street; our hand-moulding foundry is even located opposite the machine-moulding foundry. A unique situation which makes it easy for us to perform cross-fertilisation. We deliberately aim at exchanging the knowledge and experience gained at all our locations in order to guarantee on-going improvement that goes beyond the regular process improvement. The people who work in our foundries are all experienced professionals who take up your challenges with a passion and every time deliver a top performance and by doing so safeguard your and our future.
